INTRODUCTION
Chiron has never been a band that will not be bound by genre.
Founded in 1997 by vocalist Michael Aliani (aka Carrodus), after he left popular cult dark wave band Ikon, the original line-up included legendary Ikon bass player Dino Molinaro and members of Russian Rock band B2, Shura Bi-2 and Lyova Bi-2.
Originally a dark wave band, Chiron entered a new millennium with fresh concepts to take its music deeper than ever before, soon incorporating sounds born of trip hop, electro, and dark trance.
The project continues to evolve, never setting boundaries, but one consistency has remained throughout, the deep spine-tingling vocals of Michael Aliani.
WORKING ON A NEW ALBUM
2023-2025 has seen creative processes commence once again for Chiron, as genre perimeters are pushed and new works emerge.
Joining Michael and Dino in for a new album is guitarist Ivan Bullock. Ivan has been a close friend of the band for many years through his Enzyme Events, DEMUS Compilations, and Darkstereo music reviews. His own projects Minorarc and Mystral Tide blend cinematic avant-garde and progressive music, and he is a great supporter of all aspects of the arts and will be a perfect inclusion for Chiron for many years to come.
DISCOGRAPHY

EVE
Chiron’s first release, “Eve” (Energeia Records Italy) in 1999 was very successful for a debut. It could be best described as a blend of dark wave with avant-garde electronics. The first pressing was sold out in one month. “Eve” was available digitally for through Third Verse Music Australia.
“Chiron is truly one of the most incredible bands to roll across my desk.”
Dark Velvet 1999
“In this dark and moving collection, Chiron touch on gothic, dark wave and even a touch of new romantic styles, to produce an album of spellbinding intensity.”
Subversive 2000
“Eve….is well, a classic album.”

SLIPPING AWAY
Chiron’s second official release in 2005, “Slipping Away” (Apollyon Records Germany) was originally a 13 track album including a number of re-worked recordings. Master copies of the recordings, once thought lost forever, made it possible to expand “Slipping Away” to a 15 track album. For the very first time this epic release was available in its full glory as originally intended, sleek, dark avant-garde music that cannot be pigeon-holed.
This release still features the original line-up: including legendary Ikon bass player Dino Molinaro, Shura Bi-2 and Lyova Bi- 2, but also introduces DJ Robert Anthony for the first time. “Slipping Away” was been made available digitally through Third Verse Music Australia.
“Take a bow, you bastards! You have wrestled the electronic devil and bested him comprehensively. This album marks such a welcome change from the milky white, squeaky clean mush that floods the European mainland that it takes your breath away.”
Mick Mercer 2005

BREAKING POINT
Chiron’s third release was the “Breaking Point” EP in 2009, which saw Chiron pushing its music further into the genre of electronica. “Breaking Point” symbolized artists with different influences collaborating, with the sole desire to compose truly original music. “Breaking Point” was been made available digitally through Third Verse Music Australia.
“Just Play it and you will get sucked into the synthetic magic of Chiron.”
Didier Becu – Peek a Boo Magazine 2016

CHIRON: THE BEST OF
“Chiron: The Best Of” through Wave Records Brazil delighted fans of both Chiron and the original line up of popular cult dark wave band Ikon. This release features tracks from Chiron’s debut album “Eve”, their second album “‘Slipping Away” plus a host of rarities, remixes and unreleased material made available for the very first time.
“If you have not been previously introduced to the band, The Best Of is a great opportunity.”
Altvenger Magazine 2016
“A passionate exposure of great new-wave music.”
Side-Line Magazine 2016

WE OWN THE NIGHT
“We Own the Night” consists of 9 tracks influenced by electronica. Dark, dreamy, intense, and at times frantic, each track was totally unique in context to the album as a whole. With Tanya Lee assisting on vocals, she brought her own influence and energy, a wonderful contrast to Michael’s vocal work.
Each track on “We Own the Night” was crafted to transport the listener to a different soundscape. From the opening track “Fury”, dark and haunting, to the final track “Slave” with relentless beat and energy, “We Own the Night” was made to surprise at every turn and signify electronic music with heart and soul. “We Own the Night” was been made available digitally through Third Verse Music Australia.
“That’s what I call evolution.”

THE SUN GOES DOWN
Available for the very first time through Dark Vinyl Records Germany and previously unreleased, “The Sun Goes Down” consists of 11 tracks, influenced by dark wave.
To date this is Chiron’s darkest release. Themes of isolation, loneliness and loss are central. It also re-introduced Dino Molinaro on the bass and cello for the very first time since the “Slipping Away” recording sessions. Dino’s creative influence on this release cannot be understated. It also introduced Leanne Coe on saxophone for the first time. The release also featured a remix of Darker Days by legendary electronic producer Jean-Marc Lederman.
“The Sun Goes Down” is not for the faint hearted.
“There is a place in the universe where music crosses human boundaries and comes out of the stave to turn into flesh and blood, it is there that the Chiron consume their days and it is there that they await us, where the sun sets.”
“It is a dark, dreamy, ethereal and frantic work at the same time, the dark wave matrix undergoes the charm of electro, Goth and dark jazz suggestions, in essence we are talking about avant-garde music.”
Elisabetta Laurini Rock Shock Italy 2022
“This is where darkwave gets expansive, where post-punk turns cinematic, and where dark electronics dance together with gloomy jazz.”
“Chiron deliver a smooth, modern, sometimes dreamy audio experience, from start to finish.”
Terra Relicta Magazine 2022
